This may be the best fantasy football mock draft I have done so far in 2014. 12 team standard league draft on Yahoo, picking at 8.
QB: Colin Kaepernick (8), Philip Rivers (9)
RB: Arian Foster (1), Le'Veon Bell (2), Shane Vereen (5), Toby Gerhart (6)
WR: Larry Fitzgerald (3), Victor Cruz (4), Mike Wallace (7), Rueben Randle (10),
Kelvin Benjamin (11), Doug Baldwin (14)
TE: Jared Cook (12)
DEF: Buffalo Bills (13)
K: Nick Folk
Taking four running backs in the first six rounds seems risky, but if this were a real league I would attempt to trade either Arian Foster or Le'Veon Bell for receiver help. I would have no qualms about starting Toby Gerhart and Shane Vereen; I think they are both going to have big season.
The same goes for trading one of the quarterbacks. I could trade Colin Kaepernick or Philip Rivers for receiving help or an upgrade at tight end. With that being said, I would have no problem moving ahead with the roster and not making any trades. I think very highly of Mike Wallace and as my rankings show, I think he will end the season at WR2 value.
It is extremely difficult and risky drafting a team with the idea of making trades because you just don't know what other owners are thinking, but in my mind this would be an exceptional draft.
